4 week classes are ongoing through the fall in the WMA indoor arena.
Class runs Tuesday evenings, 6-7 pm. Email Julie or call (603) 284-7228 for details.
Note: Please download the registration form and the health form (found at the bottom of this page). Preregistration by mail is necessary because class limits of 6-8 are being imposed. We have had the happy problem of too many students showing up, and we don't want to disappoint anyone, so preregistration will allow us to add another class if necessary.
Learn the basics of this exciting sport that's fun for both dog and handler!
DESIGNED FOR: Puppies and Beginner Dogs.
PREREQUISITES: No prior experience and no special skills are required!
FEE: $100 / dog and handler ($50 non-refundable deposit required to hold your spot!). All fees are in US dollars.
SESSION GOALS: Confidence building, groundwork skills and shaping obstacle skills. Learn the basics including ramps, tunnels (both open and chute tunnels), A Frame, See Saw, Dogwalk skills, tire jump as well as jumping skills at lower heights and some basic handling moves using both regulation sized and down-sized equipment.
WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS: Please bring a flat buckle collar and leash (6 foot standard nylon works best!), lots of yummy treats that are easy to feed in tiny pieces. If your dog has a very favorite toy, bring that too! It's best to wait to feed your dog his evening meal until after class.
WMA FACILITIES: Agility FUNdamentals Classes take place indoors in bad weather (rubber matted classroom area and / or 9200 sq. ft. agility arena with CUSTOM ASTROTURF / WHITE SAND FOOTING. THE VERY BEST!) In good weather, classes will be held outdoors.
